Friends of the Isle of Man Symphony Orchestra
Following the orchestra's recent name change we are proud to have registered the orchestra as a charity. Colin Horsley OBE, the renowned concert pianist, who has played with the orchestra many times, has also agreed to become our patron.
In the light of these events we decided to introduce, in return for a subscription,
a "Friends of the Isle of Man Symphony Orchestra" scheme. We aim to make this both
supportive of the orchestra and flexible for our Friends.
We hope you will consider
becoming a Friend of the Isle of Man Symphony Orchestra and, whilst enjoying our
concerts, know that you are helping to support the orchestra's high standards.
Key Features of the Friends Scheme
For a donation of £15 per person or £20 for a family (4 members), payable by cheque
to the Isle of Man Symphony Orchestra by 1st July each year, members of the Friends'
scheme will be entitled to the following benefits. It is also possible to become
a life member of the Friends for a one-off payment of £100.
A priority booking period
of at least one week before tickets are made available to the general public.
Discounted
tickets (reduced by £1) for each of the Orchestra's own concerts.
Friends will also
receive:
1. The Orchestra's newsletter, usually bi-monthly, with updates on all our
plans.
2. An invitation to one social event with the orchestra each year.
3. An opportunity
to attend open rehearsals.
Friends will be listed by name in the programme.
